About Us
Garden Gate is a neighborhood school serving nearly 600 students. All students, grades kindergarten through five, receive instruction in Music, Art, and Physical Education, in addition to core subject areas. Instruction and learning experiences range from paper-pencil, to those using technology, to hands-on and project-based. Writer's and Reader's Workshop is implemented. English Language Learners receive targeted English instruction for 30 minutes daily, as well as instructional supports throughout the school day. Character Education is provided through Project Cornerstone, including monthly classroom visits from ABC Parent Readers, and peer conflict resolution coaching through our Cornerstone Kids lunchtime program. After-school enrichment opportunities are offered on-site through Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department. There is also a Child Development Center (after-school care) on-site. Our generous PTA sponsors family events throughout the year. Our children, families, and staff love being part of the Garden Gate community - we're one big family that works together to support the academic, social and emotional growth of our children. It's great to be a Gator!
